Érdekesség a mintás burkolatú példány.

Itt olvasható a Nokia bejelentése magyarországi mobiltelefongyár nyitásáról:
Nokia expands mobile phone production with major investments in Finland and Hungary
July 27, 1998
Nokia has decided to make major manufacturing and distribution investments in Europe to increase Nokia's global mobile phone production capacity. During 1998-2001 Nokia will invest close to FIM 1 billion in a new manufacturing and distribution center in Hungary and in a production capacity expansion at Nokia Mobile Phones' plant in Salo, Finland.
"At the end of 1997, there were more than 200 million mobile phone subscribers worldwide and the global sales volume was over 100 million units, an increase of about 50% from the previous year. By the end of the year 2001, we believe that the global subscriber base will have grown to approximately 600 million. Coupled with the subscriber increase, the mobile phone sales volumes are growing due to the rise of the replacement market," says Matti Alahuhta, President, Nokia Mobile Phones.
"Last year, Nokia sold over 21 million mobile phones worldwide, making us the world's second largest handset manufacturer. This year our product portfolio has proven to be even more competitive than before," adds Anssi Vanjoki, Senior Vice President, Nokia Mobile Phones, Europe & Africa. "Both our Nokia 5100 and Nokia 6100 series phones have been received extremely well by consumers all over the world. Other models that will become available during this autumn - the Nokia 6150, the Nokia 8810 and the Nokia 9110 Communicator - will make our selection even more comprehensive."
"In order to prepare for the growth that we target and foresee, we are investing in a completely new manufacturing and distribution facility in Hungary. At the same time, we will increase the output capacity of our existing mobile phone plant in Salo, Finland," Mr. Alahuhta concludes.
The final decision about the location of the new facility in Hungary has not yet been made. However, construction work is planned to begin before the end of this year and the factory is planned to be fully operational by the end of 1999. At that time, the factory is expected to employ more than 500 people.
Nokia has been manufacturing mobile phones in Salo, Finland, since the early 1970s. Nokia Mobile Phones currently employs more than 4000 people in Salo. The production and distribution capacity investments during 1998-99 will also mean additional recruiting in Salo.
In addition to the new factory in Hungary and the Salo factory in Finland, Nokia has mobile phone manufacturing sites in six other countries: in Bochum, Germany; in Fort Worth, Texas, USA; in Reynosa, Mexico; in Manaus, Brazil; in Beijing and Dongguang, China; and in Masan, South Korea.
Nokia is a broad-scope communications company supplying mobile phones, mobile and fixed telecommunications networks, wireless data communications solutions, multimedia terminals and computer monitors. In 1997, net sales totaled FIM 52.6 billion ($9.8 billion). Headquartered in Finland, Nokia is listed on the NYSE (NOK.A), has sales in 130 countries and employs more than 41,000 people worldwide.
